Yosemite Valley
Yosemite is one of those places on earth that you need to visit in order to fully understand the beast of a park it really is. Unfortunately, when we visited, hiking trails to the Half Dome were covered in snow and not open, and the incredible road that is all over Instagram (you know the road... the one with the sharp turn that overlooks the valley?) was also closed due to ice and snow. BUT we still had an incredible time. We visited the first week of May, so I would recommend going at the end of May at the earliest if you want to access the Half Dome! Just be prepared for the crowds and traffic by starting your day at sunrise!
